Sustainable rural development through the explotation of forest resources, AID n. 2351, 1999-2002 in the Fushë-Arrez province of Puke Region North

Realized in partnership with the Parish of St. Joseph of the Order of the Franciscan Sisters of Mindelheim, Diocese of Orvieto.

The bearing axis of the project was the sustainable forest development by promoting the agricultural development for the beneficiary area and by taking care of soil conservation and reforestation of some areas of the Department of Pukë.

Support for economic empowerment and poverty reduction processes of women,1998-2001 in the District Pukë

Realized in partnership with the Parish of St. Joseph of the Order of the Franciscan Sisters of Mindelheim, the association Vellazzëri formed by peasant women leaders of the 12 agricultural villages of Pukë, administrative bodies and the City of Fushë-Arrëz, the Program UNDP Albania and the association for the Defense of Human rights.

The project supported the economic empowerment process and the fight against poverty of women through the identification and development of their entrepreneurial skills, particularly in the agricultural and livestock field.

The activities aimed at their training and technical assistance to help them to improve the productivity of the farms and home gardens, to support them for the collection and distribution of the products of home gardens and small farms, to strengthen rural women organizations about the collection, storage, transport and distribution of first-food necessities.
