Training of leaders of the Wichi indigenous communities in the Salta province, 2008-2009

Realized in partnership with the local NGO ARTE Y ESPERANZA, Asociación Civil Promoción Indígena.

ARTE Y ESPERANZA wanted to support specific training activities for a large number of leaders of the Wichi communities for the indigenous handicraft production in order to generate income in favor of the families involved.

The project offered services designed to ensure the introduction of adequate and sustainable machinery in the communities to increase the craft production in compliance with the traditional work methods, to respond to the growing demand of the national market and reach better indexes of income.
